Merry Christmas 2010!

It is a white Christmas! It has been the most exciting Christmas for Jackson. Santa brought him a real tent and he got lots of fun great toys. Take a look at photos from November and photos from December.

October 2010

It has been a wonderful Fall. Jackson has played with lots of his cousins this month. First Kingston and Grayson came to visit and then we went to Blue Ridge and Jackson spent some time with the Millholland and Conn cousins. He rode the train to the pumpkin patch and then all the kids carved out their own pumpkin. We had a party at Mari & Papa's house and only one person got hurt, that would be Nathan, who was bitten by a snake. Jackson helped uncle Billy build a fire and he pretended to be a magician, but decided that was not going to be his Halloween outfit. Take a look at a bunch of photos.

September 2010

September has been all about celebrating birthdays, going to football games, and having fun. We had a Camp Rock Party over Labor Day, Jackson still loves the Jonas Brother's and the adults all had a great time. We've made it to 3 Cleveland High Football games to watch Trent and 2 Notre Dame games to see Dylan and Christian play. Jackson has a great time at the games. We went to Uncle Billy's house to celebrate his birthday and we had a Falcon's birthday party, of course. Jackson had a wonderful time there and was so excited to go, he packed the car full of his toys to bring to Uncle Billy's. Mandy, Ella, Atticus, and Finn all came to visit on their Fall break and we hung out in Cattanooga playing in the water. The kids found a turtle and built it a great house on my porch. They thought the turtle escaped, but more than a week later I found the poor thing. I, yes, me, nursed the turtle back to health and we released it back to it's home. I consulted a veterinarian, who assured me, the turtle was fine. We decorated the house for Halloween and had a pre Halloween dress up party with the kids, complete with making buck eyes. We celebrated Christian's 16th birthday at Mellow Mushroom with a bunch of teenagers, and Jackson was right up front when it was time to cut the cake. We spent the evening at Coolidge park playing games and had the best time. We had a smaller, quite time celebrating Michael's b-day. We had the neighbors down for cake. Overall September has been fun. Check out photos.

Jackson had his Callihan family reunion and played in the river with his cousins. He went to the discovery musuem with Emma right before school started and to his friend, Lily's, birthday party. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

Jackson Turns 4

So to add to our adventure with creatures this month, we found a mouse and a turtle. Jackson got a bug collector from Ginger and he got Pop to help him catch 3 butterflies and a cricket. We didn't let them go in time. Atticus, Finn, and Ella came for a visit. We toured Mayfield Farms and got ice-cream and we ate at Shane's a lot. Jackson was so excited to have them spend a couple of days at his house. Jackson had a great birthday month and it is still going on. His cousin Bryce came to hang out and they were non stop and too funny. Beth slid down our yard and cut her arm up and we had to go see our good ole friend, Dr. San Miguel for help. Of course, I laughed out loud. I really can almost see Bryce and Jackson getting into some messes as teenagers, cars and girls seem to be their interest now and I'm just not sure it will change. Amma gave Jackson her Lexus for his birthday and told him he could have it when he turns 16 and he really thinks it is his. Take a look at the July photos.

Fun Fun Fun!

We've caught tadpoles, starfish, and sand dollars, now we can add to the list; catalpa worms. Oh, the things moms will do for their little boys. I've learned a lot this summer about creatures I either didn't know existed or I didn't care. Jackson floated down lower Toccoa for the first time, yes he is almost 4 and this was his first trip, and who better than to go with than his cousin Bryce. His mother and I have a lot of memories on those rail road tracks and so many fun childhood memories that we got to reminisce on, and we created a few more memories thanks to Uncle Billy. It was a little, well, a lot longer than expected, but so much fun. Poor Jackson was super cold and refused to go to the bathroom in the river; my teaching of we don't just pee anywhere, somewhat back fired on me. We went to my cousin Brianna's wedding and Jackson enjoyed being around the Millholland's. The wedding was beautiful and I wish I could have taken more photos, but Mandy is there and it is very hard to compete with her photography skills. She took the really good ones at the first of Jackson's photos. Take a look at a few photos of Jackson.

Random Road Trip to the Beach

Jackson spent more time with Amma and Lolo while Michael and I celebrated our anniversary. Madeleine and I drove down to get Jackson and decided to make a detour to the beach for a couple of nights which turned into a couple more. We had the absolute best time being on the beach and swimming in the pool. Yaya and Sherry just happened to be down there for the weekend so we spent a little time with them too. We can't wait to go back. Take a look at the photos of Jackson.

Jackson in B.R.

Jackson spent some time in B.R. for Al's 80th birthday party. He had so much fun catching tadpoles with Emma and Callihan. He also enjoyed bubbles with Kensley. Jackson got a chance to use the marshmallow shooter on Uncle Billy. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Jackson celebrated Yaya's birthday this past weekend and he got to spend some time with his uncle Billy. As you can see, they had fun together. Pop and jackson made cookies. Jackson went to Hotlanta with Yaya and Mari and we had lunch with Mandy, Atticus, Finn, and Ella at the CheeseCake Factory. Then, Kenny and Vicki came over and played a few games with Jackson that involved birthday balloons. It was a really good weekend. Jackson has been playing his guitar lots and thinks he is a rock star. I painted his face for St. Patrick's Day, but he wanted to paint mine, so I let him and he said he paited me like a rock star he said. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

February 2010

Not too much going on, these pics are from a couple of weeks ago when we went to celebrate my Uncle Ilo's 80th birthday. We didn't make it up the mountain without crashing my car, but Jackson had a ball with Pop in the snow. His favorite movie right now is Camp Rock and he still loves Beanie Babies and cars. Take a look at all the photos.

Happy 2010!

Jackson tried some sparkling grape juice for the first time, thanks aunt Lillie. Jackson got to meet baby Nola for the first time and hopes that she will come see him soon. His favorite movie right now is G-Force. His favorite book is Puff the Magic Dragon, that Mari got him a while ago. He is a little worried about the sad dragon and he wonders if Jackie Paper will ever come back to visit him. Jackson had to take his suitcase that his Amma got him for Christmas, packed with chocolate milk and clothes to Shane's the other day. He changed clothes 3 times, then the next day we had to take the suitcase to the grocery store. I was trying to help Yaya change her facebook photo and in the amount of unsupervised time Jackson had, he had painted his whole face with brown paint. I think he has watched too many war movies with Pop, he was shooting the gun Pop got him for Christmas with his camouflaged face. He is going to school 3 days a week now and overall seems to really like it. He was really sad to see Meemo go back to school. He said he was going to get big and go to her school with lots of people someday. He has really enjoyed playing with Beanie Babies, he will even put them in bed with him, which I appreciate when I lay him down at night, it hurt having 20 metal Hot Wheels in my back. Take a look at Jackson's photos.
