October 2009

Jackson went to Burt's Pumpkin farm, we had a lot of fun picking out a bunch of different pumpkins. His uncle Billy came to visit him and he went to see the movie, Where the Wild Things Are, not exactly the best choice. Emma came over and they did lots of art projects, like painting pumpkins and masks. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

Chicago

We had a wonderful time in Chicago. When we got to the hotel room, Jackson was surprised with a chocolate milk maker and cow sugar cookie. Each day he had a cool snack waiting for him. We went to the Shedd Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, The Field Museum, Millennium Park and Navy Pier. We ate at several deep dish pizza places and went shopping on the Magnificent Mile. I think Jackson really liked Ben, our doorman, he sometimes used a whistle to catch a taxi. We rode in a blue taxi, a white, red, and of course yellow one as well. We took a taxi everywhere, it was probably the highlight of Jackson's trip. He also discovered Legos. We went to the store downtown and bought him a car one, and he played with it a lot and asked to go back the next day, so we did. Melissa and Brandon came into the city and took us out to Lego Land Discovery, where Jackson got to see how Legos are made, a 4 D movie, where we all got wet, and he saw some amazing creations made out of legos. He called Melissa, Ms. Melissa (like his teacher) and Brandon, Uncle Cecil (I have no idea why). He still talks about them and sometimes he says Brandon and sometimes it is Uncle Cecil. He had a bedtime butler come read to him one night and got a special bear. He was asked by the Pilot to set in the cockpit and was given wings to take home. Take a look at the photos of Chicago.
