Merry Christmas!

Jackson enjoyed his very first Christmas. He got everything on his list and more. He wanted to thank everyone for making this a special Christmas. Look at some of Jackson's pictures opening his gifts and just hanging out at home.

Jackson tests out a few of his Christmas gifts.

When Grammy was here she went Christmas shopping for Jackson. We let Jackson try out some of his gifts before we wrapped them and put them under the tree. Amma had sent a special package with a "My First Christmas" outfit and some special ornaments, which Jackson figured out how to get off the Christmas tree. Here are some pictures of Jackson playing with his gifts. Here are more pictures of what Jackson's been up to these past couple of weeks.

Grammy comes to visit and Michael and Julie go to a Christmas Party!

Grammy came up and took care of Jackson while we got to go out for the night. She spent a long weekend here and was such a big help. Jackson decided to show off for his Grammy. He has been rolling over from his stomach to back for over a month, yet hasn't done it in a while, then he shows her how he can roll from stomach to back and then from back to stomach. I try pretty hard to get him to laugh, Michael has his own tricks to get Jackson laughing, but all Grammy had to do was look at Jackson and he thought she was hilarious. She told one of her famous stories that was passed down from her mother, Beansie and Peasie, and Jackson laughed through the entire story. I was able to catch that on video tape. Michael and I enjoyed our night out. The party was in Providence and we stayed the night and went to the Cheese Cake Factory the next day. Look at the photos of my sweet baby.

Jackson is now 4 months old

We went to Jackson's 4 month appointment and he weighs 16 pounds and is 25 1/4 inches long. We've been experimenting with different ways to get Jackson to sleep in his crib and my favorite is to let him jump in his jumperoo until he just can’t stay awake any longer. We also have been experimenting with different hairdos, but I think we’ll keep the old style for now. See more photos.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a nice Thanksgiving. Michael did most of the cooking, Jackson and I mostly handed him the ingredients. I did however make a pumpkin pie and pecan pie. We thought we might eat around 12:00 pm but we ended up eating at around 4:00 pm. Jackson enjoyed the day but made sure we took our time getting things done. Here are just a few photos of Jackson.

Happy Halloween

Since Jackson spent his first Halloween in New England, we decided a Lobster would make the perfect costume. He dressed up and helped give out candy to the trick or treaters. Thomas the Train is Billy and his younger sister, Julie, is the chicken. Can you believe another Billy & Julie. See the Halloween photos.

A few more special people to meet before we leave

Jackson had a very busy time in Blue Ridge, and he enjoyed every second of it. Melissa is one of the few people to have changed Jackson's diaper, a moment I had to capture on camera. She did an excellent job and as you'll see Jackson smiled the whole time. Mandy was able to see Jackson for a short time while he was awake, but she quickly had to get him to sleep with her mommy skills and Jackson had breakfast with Wendy one morning. He also spent a little time with Pop. He gave Jackson a model FJ to play with. Jackson plans on saving up some money now so he can buy the FJ from Grammy & Pop when he turns 16, that is if Grammy & Pop can let go of it, or if it makes it that long. We celebrated my b-day with some cake with family and friends, then we ate out at the Mexican resturant, where Rhonda decided to surprise me with the Mexican Happy Birthday song and dad made sure he called the radio station to announce my birthday as we were on our way to the airport. Michael bought me a cake with cadles to blow out so everyone will know exactly how old I am. Thanks everyone for making the day special. Look at the photos of our last days in Georgia.

Kailey comes to Blue Ridge to Meet Jackson!

Paul, Emily and Kailey came up to meet Jackson. Kailey was such a good girl. We dressed them up for pictures and tossed them around from person to person and they both did pretty good. Jackson got a little upset in a few pictures you'll notice that Jackson reaches out for Kailey's help and she appears to be pointing and almost snickering at the cry baby beside her.

Jackson Meets Auntie Mad and visits with Lolo and Amma

Jackson met his Auntie Mad for the first time. Lolo and Amma drove up from Statesboro to spend time with their grandson. Auntie Mad left the exciting college life as a Bulldawg for the week end to enjoy walking Jackson around in the Baby Bjorn. Jackson was very happy to see his family and how much he is loved. See some photos of Jackson with the Aserons'.

Jackson's First Plane Ride

Jackson flew for the first time and spent his first night away from home. His first night away was spent at his Uncle Billy's and Aunt Lindsey's. He did great on the plane ride, however we did have to change two really dirty diapers and his outfit within the two hour plane trip. It took Michael and I both to change him and all three of us had to fit in the tiniest bathroom ever. Take a look at the photos from the trip down.

12 Weeks Old

We visited Newport for the Seafood Festival and Jackson really enjoyed getting out and walking around. It was a beautiful yet cool day. We toured the Elms Mansion where Jackson decided he would take a nap. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

On the Go

Jackson has been in his car seat a lot this past week. We went for a drive to see the colorful fall leaves, we visited with the dry cleaning ladies one day, we went for a family shopping trip and we went for our first grocery trip together. Although I don't have any pictures to prove our outings, look at some pictures I've taken of Jackson. They're more exciting than leaves or shopping centers anyway.

Jackson is 2 Months Old

I can't believe Jackson is already 2 months old. Jackson got his first set of shots last Friday and we heard a scream that we've never heard come out of his mouth before, but luckily no tears. He weighs 11 lbs. 8 oz. and is 23". See more pictures of Jackson's daily life.

Last Days of Summer

We thought summer was about over, but we've had a few very warm days. The weatherman assures us that fall is very near though. We have been taking short walks and having story time everyday. We dance and sing in his nursery and of course make plenty of time for sleeping and eating. Click on photos to see how Jackson is growing.

Amma and Lolo left over the Holiday Weekend

Amma and Lolo left over the weekend. They were very sad to leave and are looking forward to seeing Jackson in October. We made a trip to Hartford before they left and ate at a Japanese Restaurant where Jackson acted like the perfect baby. As it may be a while before we do that again I'm so thankful and wonder just how good he will be the next time we go out. Take a look of some photos of their last few days.

Wednesday, August 30, 2006

Jackson is now 5 weeks old. He went for his 1 month checkup and weighed in at 9 lbs. 10 oz. The weather has been a little cool here so Jackson has been wearing one of his favorite outfits, a blue terrycloth Lacoste stretchsuit, which his dad wore when he was a baby. Jackson has been enjoying tummy time and loves to look around at his surroundings. Michael and I went out for ice cream the other night and left Jackson at home with his Lolo and Amma, who took very good care of him. Check out more photos.

Grammy and Pop Leave and Amma and Lolo arrive

It was sad to see Grammy and Pop leave, Jackson already misses them, but Amma and Lolo arrived last night to meet their grandson and keep him entertained. Amma wasted no time in using her skills to give Jackson a bath and Lolo has been rocking Jackson to sleep. Click on photos for the past weeks pictures.

Jackson's First Week Home

Jackson has had a very exciting first week home. He has had his first bath, his first incident of peeing on Grammy, mom, and in our bed. He had his first visit to the pediatrician and his first shopping trip and out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. Dad and Pop have been staying really busy with loading wood for the winter and cutting up a tree that fell in our yard during a recent storm. Jackson loves to be cuddled and has everyone jumping at the raise of an eyebrow. Click on photos to see how Jackson has grown during his first week home.
