Happy 60th Pop and Mari

Bill and Martha celebrated their 60th Birthday with a huge party. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Take a look at some of the photos of the party.

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Amma, Lolo, Aunt Meemo, Uncle Billy, Pop and Yaya all got to spend most of Christmas week hanging out with Jackson at his house. We celebrated Amma's Birthday on the 23rd by going out to eat at a Fra la la la restaurant and we had a cake to celebrate Pop and Amma's birthday. We all got to sit down at the dining table, of course Jackson was at the head of the table to enjoy a nice dinner then we went to our wonderful neighbors to celebrate with them. Jackson woke up Christmas morning and the first thing he saw that Santa brought him was a scooter. He was puzzled because he had asked Santa for a Lightning McQueen Scooter, we tried to explain that his was a better scooter. After a while he decided that he had a cool scooter. Pop got Jackson a play riffle and coon hat and matching vest, and Amma got Jackson a cool suitcase filled with nice clothes. He got lots of Legos this Christmas among all kind of cool toys. We all had such a great Christmas, take a look at the photos.

Jackson's Christmas concert & Santa

Jackson had his first Christmas Concert where he did an excellent job standing up in the front of so many people and pretended to sing Christmas songs. He did a great job telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas- of course cars, and more cars. He even asked Santa if he drove a red car. He is so excited about Christmas this year. He woke up the other morning screaming, it's Christmas Time, it's Christmas Time. Take a look at the photos.

Happy Birthday Meemo, Happy Thanksgiving!

Meemo had a pretty good birthday, she celebrated with a lot of Jackson's favorite people. Amma came up for Thanksgiving and we then went to the San Miguel's to enjoy another Thanksgiving dinner. We had a little snow and we made a big deal out of it. We made a snowman, snow angels, and had a snow ball fight. We made a Gingerbread House, not for sure if I want to make this a tradition or not yet. Take a look at all the photos.

Happy Halloween!

Jackson had a great Halloween. He went to a trunk or trick at Emma's church dressed up as Michael Aseron when he had his mustache, then he dressed up at school and on Halloween night as the Captain Pirate. It was too cute. We had a great birthday party with a professional art class, everyone's painting turned out so good. Take a look at the photos of how cute Jackson was for Halloween.

October 2009

Jackson went to Burt's Pumpkin farm, we had a lot of fun picking out a bunch of different pumpkins. His uncle Billy came to visit him and he went to see the movie, Where the Wild Things Are, not exactly the best choice. Emma came over and they did lots of art projects, like painting pumpkins and masks. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

Chicago

We had a wonderful time in Chicago. When we got to the hotel room, Jackson was surprised with a chocolate milk maker and cow sugar cookie. Each day he had a cool snack waiting for him. We went to the Shedd Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, The Field Museum, Millennium Park and Navy Pier. We ate at several deep dish pizza places and went shopping on the Magnificent Mile. I think Jackson really liked Ben, our doorman, he sometimes used a whistle to catch a taxi. We rode in a blue taxi, a white, red, and of course yellow one as well. We took a taxi everywhere, it was probably the highlight of Jackson's trip. He also discovered Legos. We went to the store downtown and bought him a car one, and he played with it a lot and asked to go back the next day, so we did. Melissa and Brandon came into the city and took us out to Lego Land Discovery, where Jackson got to see how Legos are made, a 4 D movie, where we all got wet, and he saw some amazing creations made out of legos. He called Melissa, Ms. Melissa (like his teacher) and Brandon, Uncle Cecil (I have no idea why). He still talks about them and sometimes he says Brandon and sometimes it is Uncle Cecil. He had a bedtime butler come read to him one night and got a special bear. He was asked by the Pilot to set in the cockpit and was given wings to take home. Take a look at the photos of Chicago.

Football Season

Jackson has had so much fun watching Trent play football this fall. Trent has never played football for a team before, he is 2nd string on the varsity football team for Cleveland High. So we go to his JV games on Monday nights and the varsity on Friday nights. We missed his Varsity debut on Friday the 25th, we were in Chicago. Jackson has started going to gymnastics, he likes it so far, they do a lot of jumping. Take a look at the photos.

Jackson August 2009

We started out the month of August with Michael's surgery. Jackson spent a few days with Yaya and Pop. He visited his cousins horse farm and visited his old goats. He started school, he goes two days a week and now he likes it, but the first couple of weeks, he was not so sure about school. He is about 35 lbs. and is 40 inches tall. His doctor was telling me that at 3 their imagination really starts working and it really has. We have seen monsters for a while, but now we see alligators all the time, and we use the kitchen stools as race cars, or put them all together for a fire engine.Take a look at August photos.

Jackson's turns three

Jackson had a wonderful birthday party. The week before his cousins, Ella, Attiucs and Finn came for a visit. Jackson was so sad to see them go. He adores Ella, and even played dress up with her. We went to the Mayfield factory tour and to the Incline in Chattanooga. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

Happy 4th of July

Jackson participated in his first 3 legged race last week. His partner wasn't going fast enough, so he took off and left him so he could make it to the finish line. He also did the spoon race. He had a blast on the 4th. He went to the Millholland's and then to Aunt Lillie's for fireworks. He shot his first roman candle. Take a look at his photos.

Jackson in June

Jackson went to our cousin's, Lauren, graduation party where he got to throw water balloons at "the big guy" as Jackson called him. He had so much fun. Jackson spent some time with Amma, Lolo and Lolo Ante, while Michael and I celebrated our anniversary. Jackson went to the aquarium with Emma and Ginger, he loved the sharks and turtles and Nemo, and well all of it. He has been playing with his neigbors, Morgan and Andrew lots. He has also been going to play group where he gets to explore all kinds of toys. He loves being outside, riding his bike, he loves to race mommy and daddy on their bikes. We were planning a trip to the zoo, but instead we went to Yaya and Pop's house and saw a mommy bear and her cub. We were careful, but I had to go outside and observe them, I took the pictures safey from inside the house. Take a look at photos and more photos of Jackson.

Most of May 2009

Jackson has been enjoying his new house. He is loving his new bed. He is loving having his Meemo play cars with him. Meemo and mommy took Jackson to his first Carnival. Meemo got sick on the Crazy Bus and Jackson wasn't too happy about that ride, he would say, "Enough, Enough", which I actually hear a lot now a days. The roller coaster was scarier than I thought it was going to be. We had the big Rib Giveaway at Shane's and Jackson and Emma helped give out menus and balloons, then he went to Bryce's 4th birthday party at fun world. Jackson had a blast. He has been playing with his new neighbors, Morgan and Andrew. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

April 2009

Let's see, lot's has been going on with Jackson this past month. He spent the end of March with Yaya and Pop, while I went on a girl's trip to Vegas. He moved into his new house the next week. He went to the Discovery Museum in Chattanooga one day with me and Michael. He went to Chattanooga on another day with Ella and had the best time, I can't believe I didn't have a camera on me. He went to his first movie with Emma and David. He saw Monsters and Aliens. He has been talking a lot about Monsters lately and we thought that would be a great first movie experience, except that the movie was in 3D and Jackson would not wear the glasses at all. Everyone came to Jackson's new house for Easter. Aunt Madeleine dressed up as the Easter bunny and then Jackson had to have his turn. He loves outside and has been riding his bike. He went to an Easter egg hunt with 10,000 eggs to hunt, he came home with about 15, and the next day we had our own egg hunt, but he had already learned that the plastic eggs were the ones with treats inside. He would find a real egg, shake it and then throw it down. He goes to Shane's a lot. He dropped out of the "Parents Day Out" program. We'll try again in the fall. He went to an event with Yaya won a cake in the cake walk. I got there just in time to take his picture with it, of course, he wanted it in front of the Fire Trucks. Jackson pretty much has it made and we're all happy around here. Take a look at photos of Jackson.

Happy Birthday Yaya!

Jackson has been enjoying some nice weather. He had a great time at Yaya's birthday, he loves cake. He has been playing lots of cars and trains as usual, mostly we play hello yellow car, hello red truck. He has not been so crazy about school this month. He loved that his Aunt Madeleine, or Meemo spent her spring break playing with him. He has also taken up the guitar. Take a look at a few photos. He wanted me to take lots of photos of his cars, but I didn't post or even download all the ones he made me take.

Jackson's hair cut

Jackson's new hair cut. We hate taking Jackson to get his hair cut and David offered to take him, so of course I took him up on it. I had no idea what Jackson would come back looking like, but as long as I wasn't the one holding him down, I didn't care. According to David, Jackson was still the entire time. Jackson's best friend at school is Carson, go figure, like I don't hear the word car enough. Jackson got to play with Joselyn and Bryson at Yaya & Pop's. We celebrated Emma's 7th birthday and David's birthday this month. Take a look at pictures of Jackson's February.
